Abstract
Many people do not understand what a healthy nutrition decision can do for oneself, loved ones, and close friends, to their bodies and life. Amber Peters did her Capstone Project on Healthy Nutrition Decisions. When it comes to choices dealing with food such as vegetables, fruits, and meals a variety of options are available and you should select those in your best interest. Fast food can cause an increase in your health problems, but surprisingly dark chocolate can help some of your health problems to improve. Although everyone does not love to eat their fruits and vegetables, what they do not know is that by eating fruits and vegetables many of their health problems can decrease. The benefits or purpose of consuming fruits and vegetables is that the risk of heart disease, stroke and many cancers can be reduced, it can also create a lower blood pressure, a healthier immune system and help you lose weight. By not grocery shopping on an empty stomach you can take the time to read the Nutrition Facts Label to find out the amounts of fat, sodium, and fiber in specific products. Because fast food has plenty of calories from refined sugar and fats, has very high sodium, and comes from common salt and other additives, plenty of fast food places use the word free with food as an incentive.
