About Me
As I started to put some of the things that I have been influenced to do I started earning honorable rewards throughout my high school years. I have remained on the honor roll throughout most of my high school years and have been rewarded some awards and certificates from my teachers and principle. I learned how to work well with others, give a productional speech about topics that you may know nothing about, and writing poetry about your school and what it means to you by being in Future Teachers of America. I am currently in the National Honor Society and in order to remain in it I must keep atleast a 3.0 grade average.

Relection
When growing up my family always told me that I should eat healthy and make smart decisions when it comes to food because if not I will gain weight and/or health problems. I never believed them until I was sixteen and started gaining a little weight from all of the junk food I was eating and the unhealthy nutrition decisions I was making. During my Capstone journey I learned a variety of facts that I can use now and in the future when it comes to making healthy nutrition decisions. I’ve learned that it’s not good to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach and that eating fast food isn’t as bad for you if you eat it once or twice a week verses eating it four-six times a week. Making smart healthy nutrition decisions are a big impact in my life because if I always make unhealthy decisions I can obtain health problems.
I learned many things when my research paper was completed. Such as, by eating fruits and vegetables many health problems can be decreased. I love eating chocolate candy bars and learned that dark chocolate is healthy for you. Also, eating fast food every once in a while is not as bad as eating it various times a week, and breastfeeding is healthier than formula, but if you must, you can make formula just as healthy. The part of my project that I am most proud of is my research paper because it took some time to put the best information I found together. Also, it took several of times to get my words and sentences correct, as well as, my paragraphs and topics. For some of my sentences I didn’t know how to word everything correctly and properly the first couple of times.
The life-long learning that I will take away from this Capstone Project journey is to not only make healthy nutrition decisions for myself, but also for my family. Also, that eating fast food is alright as long as it’s not being eaten a variety of times a week. This Capstone Project has influenced me as a person because now I will not go to the grocery store on an empty stomach and will start reading the Nutrition Facts Label. I will also start taking better care of my body by eating more fruits and vegetables. In the future when I have children I will make the best healthy nutrition decision when they are born, which will be to breastfeed.
